Hundred Yen Haul

The ubiquitous 100 Yen Store is the Japanese one-stop shop for the cute, the bizarre, and the cheap.  Sometimes, it's so easy to get caught up in the stereotype (look at this crazy thing I bought!) that one can forget about all the other super-useful things for sale.  Which would be sad.  Today, instead of spending $25 to run errands at the base Exchange, I spent 1050 yen on ten items at my local 100 Yen Store. Using today's conversion rate, that worked out to be $13.14.  Much more reasonable and much more fun!

Clockwise from top:
Large gift bag, small gift bag, plant fertilizer, gardening shears, three packs
of cockroach traps, jewelry cleaner, cleaning mitt, small bag of potting soil.
